The current
owner decided to close the doors recently. The reason for this is
two-fold. Firstly, as a very successful businessman (inter-alia the
owner of the second-largest Ice-cream Factory in the country), he
felt that he wasn’t spending enough time in the Bistro to make it
really reach it’s full potential. Secondly, he struggled with the
age-old problem of many a hands-off business owner: trustworthy
management. |

At the
time of it’s recent closure, the restaurant was operating at an
average turnover of R200 000.00 per month for the 18 month
period since it’s opening. Projections, as outlined in the
available “Anticipated Income & Expenditure Sheet” is based on
this, using a conservative anticipated growth of only 5% per month. As you
will be able to see, you will be in a position to start paying
the bond from the restaurant earnings, from the word go. The
projections are based on an average Food Cost of 35%, which in
fact is higher than the norm of 33%.

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
- Currently there are very few food establishments in the village of
Magaliesburg, with the Wimpy (that caters to a completely different
market) being the biggest contender. Down the main street there is
also a small coffee shop and a Steers, but once again we do not
envision these establishments as competition. Magaliesburghers
were sad to see the restaurant close and will surely be happy to
welcome its reopening with their patronage. |
